After read I chapter 5 and 6. I think those chapter is a very

important chapter in the book, because now there is other

person living in the basement with Lorenzo. That person is

Olivia who is Lorenzo stepsister. In one morning Lorenzo

was receive a call with the wired number, when he pick up

is Olivia the stepsister who he had not met since 1998. She

was call to ask if Lorenzo parent home? And where is him?. 

Frist he think this a trap so he lie that he is on the ski trip

with his friend. An hour later Olivia comes to the basement

to found the box that belongs to her and she saw Lorenzo in

the basement instead of the ski trip like he said and the .

Olivia doesn’t care about that and promise to him that she

will not tell anybody that Lorenzo was here. The reason why

she call Lorenzo to check that his parents was home or not

is because Olivia have a very bad relationship with Lorenzo

parent, and she really hate Lorenzo dad. After Olivia left,

Lorenzo go back to enjoy his song Soul Reaver. Then really

late at night Lorenzo was about to sleep, suddenly there

was somebodies knocking on the window. Lorenzo try to

look out side and it was Olivia again and now she wants to

stay in the basement with Lorenzo because she has

nowhere to sleep tonight. First he was very angry and say

no because he worry that she make mess thing up, is really

dangerous to go and open the front door now and there is

not enough food and the basement was very small for two

people, he just wanted to be alone. After arguing back and

front decided if Lorenzo doesn’t let her in she was tell

anybody that Lorenzo was in the basement all the time, and

she actuary did it in the middle of the night she sound “

Listen up, everyone! Can you hear me? A boy is hiding in

the cellar. It’s Lorenzo Cuni, who’s pretending to be away

on ski week… hello.. “. So finally he have to let here in even

thought he really hate here now. In the next morning Olivia

was sick really bad. She ask Lorenzo for saying one more

night but Lorenzo didn’t let here stay. Suddenly Lorenzo

mom calls him again to ask to see Alssia’s mom. Now he

doesn’t know what to do finally he ask Olivia for pretend

Alssia’s mom and to her mother. But he to promised that he

will do everything Olivia said. So Olivia can stay In the

basement from now on.

Summarize in 1-2 sentence the events

In chapter 1. Lorenzo wrote a flash back about his Thirteenth and Fourteenth birthday that even that really important for him. He go to a ski trip to celebrate. but he don't actually go to the ski trip he just lying

Self-Assessment of me project

Finally I finish the biggest project in this semester. Now I feel really good, and I can not believe that I can wrote more than 2000 words that probably the words that I had done the most in America, and I have been to America for two year now; I think even If I wrote in Vietnamese I wouldn't wrote that long. This project maybe the project that worked in the most but it not the best one. There is still a lot if mistake like; gramma, punctuation, vocabulary. I wish that I would have more time into this project because in the same time when I'm working on this project I have a lot of other work to do so, I didn't spend a lot of time is paper. If I have a change to spend more time in this paper I would go over and fix every mistake that I made to make my paper be perfect because I'm the kind of person who wanted everything to be prefect. But I really proud of myself that among a lot of paper, a lot of work to do for other class can still I can wrote 2000 words and turn it in on time. I feel like I become more mature and hard worker now and I also see a lot of improve in writing . There is only one thing that I disappointed about this paper, and that is I cannot found my own character so I have to wrote a diary like I'm sookan. Finally if I have to grade my self I will give me an c or around b-.

                                                   Frist time came to the writing center.

I never came to the writing center before because I think in that short time is will not help to improve my

paper. But was totally wrong. This is my first time been to the writing center and already like the process and

how thing work, and they even have the room for the writing

. But the thing that make me most impress is when I opened my paper Ms. Swift just looked for a few

seconds and she already knew what mistake I couldn’t believe how Ms. Swift did that.Is seem like she had

look at my paper a lot of time She not just found the mistake on my paper and help fixing it. She even

doesn't mind to teach me the whole grammar process again when I'm seem to forgot it or even didn’t know

it. She even gave me an advice for how to got better at english by tell me to ready more book, see all the

movie in english or read some magazine .So student just don't come to the writing center for the writing

assignment, they can still come here for learning English. The thing that I love the most about her is she not

just told about studying all the time. She also talk about the stuff that out side to make more interesting by

showing some shocking news on the magazine or some crazy people do. This time the writing center help

me a lot in the paper. I’m looking forward to came back and to with her again to make my paper became

more perfect. But there is a only that I did’ in my opinions I think the writing center should have more than

one person to help the student because when I came there I saw a lot of student was there to, so she just

can help each people a litter bit. I think it is better if one teacher just focus on one student at the time. So

they can find more mistake and teach the student more  if they just have once student at the time and they

will make Ms. Swift life more easier.

Finally in my opinions the writing center is very helpful for student , especially the international student who

Isn’t good at writing yet to go here and help a change to improve the essay to make the essay become more

perfect

                                                     My Diary.

September 1954                                                           

Dear diary,

 This is a very special day in my life; a huge change is happen in my life. I have to say goodbye to my family and friend and come to America to study. That is the very hard decided, is it never easy say goodbye to my friend and go study far away from home.   I don’t know why I’m feeling nervous and exciting at the same time. I feel nervous because this is my first time to study far away from home and I never come to America before so I’m asking a lot of question like What is it like to study there?  Will people like me? Will I like them? Will I be able to keep my scholarship? Every thing start every hard by siting 28 hour on the big iron bird.

    When I come to school I met a lot of people one of them is my roommate Ellen and Sister Reed who help me with the school and met a new friend. Later in the day Ellen ask me to go out the market to buy some stuff for out room.  By this time I know that I don’t have enough money to buy anything so I have to say no to buy anything and I know is it time to find a out time job to make my own pocket money.

 Dear diary, 

  This I my second day in America. I have learned a lot about American culture that I never saw that in Korean before. People in America seem to be very friendly. They hug and kiss people in public, are like people in America are more open. In Korea younger people have to show the fully respect for older people but in America people seem like free to any person. In the second day in America met a new friend her name is Marci and she life right in front of my room. She is a very quiet person; she doesn’t like to talk a lot or a crowed place, out side see seem to be very cold. But when you become you will feel that she have a warm heart and she is really helpful. She is the person who introduces me to Mr.Bennet to do baby siting for him to get my own pocket money where I learn more about American culture here. Me, Marci, Ellen we get along really well and become best friend of each other.

Dear diary,

Today I have to all subjects that I want to take for the first semester. The assistant dean recommend that I should take audio, music or maybe art class but I choose world literature, world religion, Greek and Roman history. Everybody was said that is really difficult for me, I think so to but I just want to try and I will more credit when I graduate. Now my life is become very hard of that decision. In the end of the day I receive the letter from my mom. After reading the letter is make me miss her so much and I feel really melancholy. For me she is perfect woman she can do everything for their children. She never complained about anything even her life is hard, she just never complained about her hardships.  I miss her so much, all I want is to do now is come back and hug her really hard and tell her how much I love her. I don’t know if I should tell her that I’m baby-siting for my pocket money a not because she will be worry for me that I have to much work that I have to cover and I don’t want her to worry about me to much.

Saturday 21

Dear diary,

 This is my first day of baby siting, I’m very worry What if they don’t like me? Would I be helpful? What if I can’t keep them entertained or if they are naughty? Finally is not bad like I tough, the Sarah and Jimmy was their name and very good and cute and Ms. Bennett was very kind to me and today I learn one more thing about American culture that I never saw before in Korea. Mr. Bennett go to the kitchen and cook first I could not believe in my eyes because I never see a men cook before but after Ms. Bennett tell my that no matter you are a men or a woman you still have to do housework. Now I understand that is one of the American cultures, suddenly I want it become a Korean culture to, so my mom doesn’t have to do everything by herself.

November 1945.

Dear diary,

Today was the special day for Ellen because she and her boyfriend will go on vacation on Europe. This is my first time I saw Kyle, He is a nice locking men. I feel really lucky for Ellen for having him as a boyfriend. They ask me to go with them but I say no. I have lot of work to do and I don’t want to stand on Ellen and Kyle way. I was very shock about what I Ellen say, she say that she doesn’t care much about study and graduate because in America woman doesn’t need to go to work and make money if they don’t want to. They just can marry men and stay at home and she already found one for her.  I was really shock about that, now I feel there is a lot of different between America and Korea. 3 moths her make me learn a lot about American culture that I never see it before in Korea and I cannot wait until I tell my mom everything. She will be very shock and not believe it.
